Hey, been a long time since i blogged - been away and stuff. Right now i should be at a friends house getting drunk, but its mighty cold outside and i don't feel too crash hot, so i thought i'd make it a warm night in instead.

ok, so we are going away, and i'm going to make tacos when we are away(and watch yummy antonio in desperado), so i need a good mexican cocktail to go with it - i could do a margarita, however i don't think we will have any cointreau... are there any other good cocktails i should make?

man, it was ex-boyfriend night at the arey last night - i saw two of my ex-s within like 5 minutes of each other. it was freaky.
I was at the arey cos we had to organise going away - my friends and i are going to the mountains for three days on monday should be very fun and good and drunk :D
we are playing soccer against chatswood tomorrow - hope we go good so we have a chance to get into the finals...

as i woke up yesterday, i noticed a weird cloud in the sky. It looked like it could have been writing, but i couldn't work out what it was... anyway, as i was looking at it, on the radio they were talking about a person in north sydney (i live in sydney, but further north) saw writing in the sky saying 'pray for rain' anyway, as i was listening to this i realise my mystery cloud said pray for rain as well... freaky....

has anyone seen the mastercard add with the simpsons on it? I find it kind of strange... i mean, it is the simpsons - and the main demographic is kids. But kids can't have credit cards. It seems like they can't win. Not that i really want a credit card with a company who can afford to have the simpsons advertise for them... i think they must charge way too much... however i really can't afford a credit card anyway - which i know sounds strange...

thats right, monica from friends named her child coco - sounds a little to much like a just like a chocolate milkshake to me...
i read an article about baby names - the top girls name in australia is emily - i dont' know any emilys. The top boys name is Joshua - i don't know any joshuas anyway - i think its a bit weird - joshua is cute for a 4 year old, however i don't think its going to look good on 40 year olds....
baby names in US there is no leisa here....

lucky sleeping in is so so so good - which is what i spent most of my day doing.
However i hate paying rego - we went to the rta to pay it today, except the computer system had broken down and we couldn't pay - trust us to break it!!!!

yesterday i saw the day after tomorrow... it was ok, but really cheezy - the best line being "I'm warming you with my body heat"... so so bad! and then the wolves came - yes i'm being serious.
Anyway, i was chatting with my mum, and i don't think there is an original disaster movie around. Really, they are all cliche films that appeal to the lowest common denominator.
not that disaster movies aren't great to watch - but they just don't bring anything involving to the table.

i had a comment. i shouldn't write about essays and docos, but about the sex, drugs + rock and roll that goes on with uni.
thats after the semester is over.
no but really, i think aussie uni life is much different from college in the states. well at least as far as tv and film has shown us. we live at home. not on campus. the social life is wildly different. anyway, i think its interesting.

everyone go watch the doco spellbound - its great! its about the national spelling bee in the US and follows 8 kids. gets so exciting by the end.

dan and i were sitting in bayswiss today having lunch and we looked down and there was a woman in the suchi shop downstairs who was taking something brown out of a bucket full of water and draining them. Dan said they were shitake mushrooms. I said that they shoud 'never take a bath' (thanks iron chef) however he said they came dehydrated.
we sat for a bit, and he said he had no idea why they would put shitake mushrooms in suchi. I said they looked like the little soy sauce fish that you get, but he said i was silly.
later she pulled out a packet of red things. and i said they were the lids. dan didn't believe me.
anyway, we went down and checked and i was right. i have no idea why, but they put soy sauce packs (in the shape of fish) in water, and then they drain it out, and then later they put on the lids. its the weirdest thing in the world.

island artists blog is the most amazing blog. it is so great. i'd love to make my blog look like that - if only i could. maybe i'll have some time once uni is finished.
these holidays i plan to just watch films and make earrings + sew. Ahhh, it will be great. And get my licence. i can't drive cos i'm lazy, but i'm almost there, i just need to learn how to park.
almost kinda maybe finished my essay. dunno. feeling so slack.
we have no pasta.

i have been writing in my blog for one whole week. what a milestone.
now i have nothing to write about. except that i should be writing my essay(s). in a week and a day i will have finished uni for the semester! only one semester to go - its kinda exciting!
i don't know what to do after uni... anyone got any jobs going in a film studio? in sydney? anything?
yeah, didn't think so.
so what am i going to do after uni? i don't know. its quite daunting...
